I am happy to announce that I am running for State Representative for the 69th District. During my adult life I have worked to help create caring communities where people of all ages can live and work. Many of those years were focused in East Lansing, but over the last five years I have been fortunate to have also served the people of Meridian Township and Williamstown Township as Chief of Staff to Rep. Mark Meadows. In addition to my experience as a school board president, community volunteer, teacher and parent, my first-hand experience working in the State Legislature uniquely qualifies me to be a strong voice for you at the State Capitol.
My husband Tom and I moved to this area to raise our two sons Alex and Erik– now 21 and 23 years old. Although it was his position at MSU that brought us here, we knew we made the right choice because we share the values this community cares about most: strong public schools, a healthy quality of life where businesses and their workers want to locate, strong environmental protections, and people working together to solve problems. That’s why I’ve dedicated my time and energy to support and promote these values.
It’s been an honor to work with and serve the people of our community for nearly 20 years in a variety of leadership roles. With your support, I look forward to serving you as your next State Representative.
Feel free to contact me anytime.
Thank you for considering my candidacy!
